Over the 2022/23 season a number of our members achieved milestones, qualifications and nominations for awards. The club acknowledges those who volunteer their time to help others within the netball community, gain more knowledge, and work together with others to try and progress netball at every level. 

Cath Clark

Cath took over the role of Officiating Lead for Somerset in the 2022/23 season, her progress made towards gaining umpires, mentors, and assessors landed her the Somerset nomination for Community Official of the Year at the South West One Awards. As if she hasn’t been busy enough, Cath has also gained her EN Umpiring Assessors qualification!

Hazel Hucker

Hazel stepped down after 10 years of Club Chair, she has gone above and beyond for our club for over a decade, we look forward to seeing her take a well deserved step back and keep playing next season.

Sally Haysham

At the very beginning of the 2022/23 season, Sally gained her Level 2 Coaching qualification, boosting the club as well as her coaching experience which she uses within our junior section.

Eve Jenner

Eve ended the 2022/23 season by gaining her Level 1 Coaching qualification, she looks forward to utilising this in the coming season.

Julie McClean

On a county level, Julie stepped down after 7 years as Vice Chair of Somerset Netball. Her dedication to county has been outstanding and we look forward to seeing her continue her roles at a club level.

Liza Wittek

Our newest, and youngest, umpire is Liza! After gaining her INTO umpiring qualification whilst in U16s we look forward to seeing Liza continue on her umpiring journey over the coming years!
