February saw a mixed bag of results for the club, but new players took to the court, old players returned, and the club took on their next social!

Jupiter

Jupiter took on two strong sides in February, despite losing both games, the team pulled together and aimed to focus on the remainder of the season to get some wins!

Saturn

The team in Div 1 with already the most draws over their belt, the team has seen their fair share of close games this season. Saturn started off with an away game to Quantock, losing out on the final whistle by just one goal! Saturn then took on Queens at Haygrove, where with only 3 of their regular players and 3 players playing up from their normal side, the team came from behind to secure the draw. The team then took on Bishops for the second time in a month, and despite a full squad, the team narrowly missed out again, with the score atching that of the away fixture. Saturn's closely fought season so far has managed them a top half of the table spot and we can't wait to see them continue to push for the last 2 months!

Neptune

Neptune started February off with an away game to Minstrels, missing key players, Minstrels showed their experience and came out with the win. A new side then played Diamonds, where we welcomed Maisey to the court for her first game, despite the match not goign Neptune's way it there were some great elements of play. The next game saw Millie welcomed into the club and the side for the first time, the team dug deep against Walton, who they were playing for the first time this season, and allowed them to gain the win!

Venus

Venus only had one game in February, the return fixture of their last game against Canons, a young Venus side lost to the team on the away fixture, but the returning of key experienced players, the welcoming of Ashlea and the introduction of Helen into the side gave Venus to structure it needed to develop the younger players and to put on a display of amazing netball which gained them a well deserved and well fought win.

February Social

Our next social took place at Axe Slingers in Bridgwater, where a group of players got together and showed how good (or bad) they were with an axe, whilst some of members smashed it, a few others are probably more safe on the netball court!
